Lessons in this programme reflect increasing recognition that young people should have an understanding of fundamental values within society, their rights and responsibilities as citizens and should be a\ware of the function of rules and the democratic process.  This programme, also promoting pro-social behaviours and a positive ethos, fulfils that function.
